Koko Kinsale
From the first moment I walked into this shop over ten year's ago, I knew it was something special. The chocolatey aroma wafted through the air as I browsed through their delicious handmade offerings and chatted to the owner, Frank. He told me that he had decided to change career and had studied with a chocolate maker in France, of course my mind drifted immediately to that gorgeous book Chocolat by Jan Harris.
I ordered a hot chocolate and walked through the streets of Kinsale, West Cork, delighting in the depth of flavour with each sip. Nothing says relaxation more than a cup of hot chocolate and this is the finest one around (In my humble opinion). I am delighted to be sharing this flavour with you all.

Wasi Seaweed
Another discovery at Skibbereen market some years ago, I was initially drawn to their unique branding and the fact that the products are made using local seaweed. I initially tried their body oils and loved them and I'm thrilled to bring some of their products to you! Based near Bantry, West Cork, Claire O' Sullivan is an award winning business owner, try her products.
Red Strand Coffee
Shane is also a regular coffee supplier at Skibbereen market where you'll always find a queue of people at his red van while he pours the perfect flat white or Americano. His coffee beans are roasted in Clonakilty and inspired by the farmers markets and food producers of West Cork. You can order a subscription for his coffee from his website https://redstrandcoffee.com/

Is there anything more pleasant than the promise that a new notebook can bring? a fresh start, a list, a paragraph, a quote. Barbara Hubert makes beautiful books. She learned the trade by doing an apprenticeship in Darmstadt, Germany and the level of detail that goes into making a handbound book makes it special. Midleton Books- An independent bookseller
Independent booksellers are becoming more and more of a rarity as large multinational websites take over. There is still a place for the small bookshop, for the advice, care and attention to detail you will get when you walk in the door. There's no algorithms at play here, just real life gut instinct for a best seller. Run by husband and wife Jessica and Ronan, this is where I source my books.
