
What's on your wonderlist this Christmas?

I attended a creativity workshop recently led by Bristol based storyteller Clare Murphy. She talked about having a wonder list, these are things that can bring you joy and restore your sense of self. Small actions that can make a significant difference to your wellbeing. Her hint was that it didn’t involve scrolling on your phone! That thought came to me when my husband was driving us home from dinner recently. A shooting star blazed in the sky, it was so close to us, and we both looked at it in wonder and awe as it travelled across the sky. Had I been on my phone, I would have missed this beautiful trail of light that lasted only seconds.
This wonder list can consist of anything that brings you joy; it can be as simple as a cup of coffee.
· Time spent with family and friends.
· Watching the sun rise.
· Walking our dog Flynn and any time spent in nature.
· A Mexican themed New Year’s Eve dinner in our local restaurant.
· A New Year’s Day swim.
· Making a puzzle
· Writing
