A cup of joy and morning ritual

I love the mornings; without a doubt they’re my favourite time of day. My morning routine consists of waking early, to let Flynn our golden retriever out. Then I make my coffee, that first sip is truly my favourite one of the day. Lots of people don’t go near coffee first thing, preferring tea or water. For me though, it’s that cup of joe! I’ll curl up on the couch, read a bit and generally stop an excited dog from spilling my coffee. I don’t even listen to the news anymore, it’s too depressing. I just sit quietly listening to the birds. Weekdays I don’t have much time but that first 20 mins is mine alone. In winter, I’ll take that cup back to bed, especially on Saturdays. I’ll hide under the blankets and slowly wake up. 

Because I love coffee so much, I had to make sure that the coffee on my site is good! Red strand coffee is roasted in Clonakilty and inspired by the farmers markets and food producers of West Cork.
